Digital Media Digitisation

What is old digital media?

Old digital media refers to outdated or obsolete forms of digital storage and formats that were once popular for storing and sharing data, but have since been surpassed by more modern technologies. Examples include CD-ROMs, MMC cards and xD-Picture cards.

Digital Media Storage

Old digital media formats like SD cards and CD-ROMs/DVDs are rapidly becoming difficult to read because often newer devices do not support them.

Saving it to USB or Google Photos after digitisation protects it from loss and view it at any time.

§ 03 — What formats do we support?

Still have old memory cards?

New phones and computers have dropped these card slots, and old cards can stop reading. Copy the photos and videos off while you still can, and keep them to view and share.
